MINISTRY: Remaining Tour Dates Cancelled Due To 'Circumstances Beyond Our Control'
September 8, 2006As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on August 24, MINISTRY has now officially confirmed the cancellation of its remaining tour dates due to "circumstances beyond our control," according to Undercover News. Countries affected include Australia, New Zealand, South America, Japan and "beyond."
It has been eleven years since MINISTRY last played in Australia. They were previously due to tour Australia in support of their "Filth Pig" album, but those shows were also cancelled.
Ticket holders can get a refund from the point of purchase.
MINISTRY's latest CD, "Rio Grande Blood", sold just under 7,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 134 on The Billboard 200 chart. The follow-up to 2004's "Houses of the Molé" was produced by MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen at 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, TX, mixed at The Saltmine in Mesa, AZ, and mastered at DNA Mastering in Studio City, CA. The album features guitarist Tommy Victor, bassist Paul Raven and drummer Mark Baker, with guest appearances by Jello Biafra (ex-DEAD KENNEDYS) and Sgt. Major.
